Process

A friend told me that signing up for coaching feels like walking into a small, unfamiliar boutique. The boutique looks pretty from the outside, but what can I expect when I go in? Can I afford the prices or is everything far too expensive? Will the sales person be pushy and talk me into things I don't want or need? How will I get out of there without it being awakward?

I don't want you to feel like that. That's why I've put together some information about the process.

Preliminary conversation

A brief phone call, lasting around 15 minutes, allows us to explore whether I’m the right match for you and your topic, and if we feel comfortable working together. This call is free of charge and comes with no obligations. The choice to schedule an appointment afterward is entirely yours – I will never pressure you.

Registration and appointments

We can make the first appointment directly in the preliminary phone call or sometime afterwards by e-mail. I will then send you a registration form and ask you to fill it out and email it back to me before our first meeting. That way I have all the necessary information and we can get started straight away.

First appointment

This is where we get to know each other and I find out more about the issue you're seeking coaching for and its background. Together we'll work out the concrete goal for the coaching and begin the process of working towards it.

Further appointments

It's always your decision whether you want to make a second or further appointment. I won't obligate you to anything, you can stop at any time.

At the same time, I would like to encourage you to give the process some time. You don't have to make any commitments to me. From experience, however, I find it helpful if you make a commitment to yourself and are prepared to stick with it. I find this attitude to be particularly important in couples counseling, as it takes some pressure off the relationship.

Homework

In order to deepen what we discussed and worked on, I often give homework to be completed between appointments. These tasks are voluntary and usually don't take up much time. However, they are a good way of making coaching more efficient and effective.

The 20-franc appointment

To ensure that coaching doesn't become a luxury good, I offer one session per week for twenty francs. If you're interested, simply send me an email with a brief description of your coaching topic. There's no need to explain why you can't or prefer not to pay the standard rate.

In certain situations, longer sessions can be beneficial. However, this is discussed beforehand. You can pay directly in cash or with TWINT, or I will send you an invoice after the appointment.
