On the trail of passion

I'm Sabinska Binswanger and I grew up in Zürich and Toronto. From an early age I was aware of my three main passions which led me to pursue different studies and professions

People, working with my hands and hospitality

  1. Human beings: I have always asked myself what motivates people, what gets in their way and what they need in order to lead fulfilling lives. This passion motivated me to study history and psychology, completing a bachelor with honors at the University of Toronto.
  2. Working with my hands: While at University I worked on construction sites, building private homes. After my degree I learned to build and upholster furniture and started my own business in this field.
  3. The hospitality industry: In time I realized that my third passion, hospitality, was attracting me more and more. I completed a postgraduate degree in international management and worked in five-star hotels. After that I founded, together with a business partner, the Kafi Dihei in Zürich which we successfully ran together for ten years.

Opening my Coaching Garage
Today I'm drawn back to my first passion, human beings. For four and a half years, I devoted myself to training as a systemic, solution-orientet coach at the Kurszentrum Aarau. The focus of this training was on transformation techniques, systemic competence in coaching organizations, teams and couples and solution-oriented consulting, communication and leadership. Upon completion, I founded my Coaching Garage.

Why Coaching Garage? I aim to make the use of a coach to something completely natural and normal. We have our car serviced regularly – why shouldn't we do the same for ourselves?

Since my passion for the hospitality industry remains, I also offer coaching and mentoring specifically geared to companies and people working in hospitality. If you're interested, have a look at Gastro mit Gusto: www.gastromitgusto.ch
